Cumberland Lodge
Last year’s Cumberland lodge was a success. We had a joint talk hosted by the Philosophy department and our very own Liz Blagrove, along with some brave undergrads presenting.
In case you’re wondering:
Cumberland lodge, is our annual retreat; it gives us an opportunity to invite speakers from diverse areas of Psychology to talk to us about what their work involves and the latest research going on in their field! Its a fantastic time away from “the bubble”, the location is stunning (a gorgeous stately home in Windsor Great Park, near Windsor Palace!) and we have an afternoon off during the weekend to go into town and do some shopping and sightseeing!
Take a look at the pictures from last year (in the gallery) to see how beautiful the lodge is and what a great opportunity it is!
Our speakers last year were:
Dr Chris French - Anomalistic Psychology
Dr Adrian Banks- Reasoning Processes, Human Factors, Ergonomics
Dr Jo Semlyen - LGBT Psychology
Dr Chris McManus- Laterality, Psychology of Art
Also, we joined the Philosophy folks for a talk by Dr Matthew Nudds.
Along with these lovely guests our very own Liz Blagrove (who will have completed her PhD by then!) and some very plucky undergrads made some short presentations!
Hope you can attend this coming year and join the fun!
